HABITUATE. 2020 GRADUATE CONCEPT FILM
H A B I T U A T E. The environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share. We are all a product of our environment, and now more than ever changes in the climate we live in is a by-product of human existence. Derived by the concept of climate change, desertification, animal adaption and survival instinct, I felt the need to merge my practice with a raw, organic contemporary dance qualities. In a time like no other, 2020 has seen prolific effects to our world. I would like to prompt reflection upon your own environmental footprint. "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” —Jane Goodall Director & Choreographer: Christiana Stewart Production Company: Retrojekt DOP & Cinematographer A Camera: Jonny Morfoulis Cinematographer B Camera: Rhiannon Whitaker Dancer: Maalfrid Soendenaa Editor: Christiana Stewart Head Editor & Colourist: Jonny Morfoulis. AUSTRALIAN DANCE PROJECT: PROJECT 1
AUSTRALIAN DANCE PROJECT. Collectively, we are stronger. Dance as we know is a form of expression that enables us to listen, share and bring us closer together. 2020 has evoked change, as artists we faced many challenges and media instilled new ideals into our modern-day society. Collectively, we shared individual experiences with the COVID-19 pandemic and the BLM movement. This began our journey, to connect independent artists universally through movement, wherever your creative outlet may be and however you move and groove. Actions speak louder then words: collectively we can make a difference and unite a voice. Bringing community back to its roots, we what believe the world need unity now, more than ever. Find us on social media @projectausdance and hashtag #ausdanceproject.

Autophobia/ Tête-à-tête
A creative practitioner in the midst of coronavirus 2020. The creation of this film started with an idea as all things do. A brief about the concept of 'connection'. What it means to connect and how everything and everyone connect. WE researched and brainstormed the idea and found conversation to be something that connects us. As well as living in isolation as a shared experience. Using this as inspiration we created an initial phrase, and created a second phrase responding to the initial phrase from someone else, mimicking the form of a conversation. Splicing the filmed choreography together, setting it to music overlayed with conversation we ended with our film 'Autophobia/ Tete a Tete'.
